This spring, Jason Wells will embark on an extraordinary 50 day solo walk across Spain, covering approximately 1,500 km from Seville to Santiago de Compostela and onward to Murcia. Inspired by Stuart, a family friend who is connected to the CiaO Foundation, Jason has chosen to dedicate this immense personal challenge to supporting our work. His journey is truly a powerful example of what it means to embrace the idea that Challenge Is An Opportunity. Jason is no stranger to taking on challenges, though this walk is not about speed or spectacle, but about capability, resilience, and the belief that midlife strength can be built step by step.
Throughout the journey, Jason will be walking, recovering, adapting, and documenting the stories of people he meets along the Camino routes — capturing the lived wisdom of communities who understand movement, ageing, and purpose in a deeply human way. It’s a remarkable feat of endurance, and we are incredibly thankful for and proud of his commitment. As he sets off, we wish Jason every success and want to let him know that we will be following him every step of the way.
We warmly encourage supporters, friends, and anyone inspired by Jason’s determination to get behind him. Your support will help amplify the impact of his journey and directly benefit the communities we serve. Follow Jason’s journey and donate via his JustGiving page — every contribution, large or small, helps turn his steps into meaningful change.
